About Paula
I grew up with animals - dogs, gerbils, the occasional stray neighborhood cat - but lost my connection somewhere along the way. When I adopted my first Airedale Terrier more than 20 years ago, it began a much closer journey with animals, one that continues today. A traumatic training class with a harsh trainer set the stage and the years since have been filled with education and learning. In an age where many of our ongoing experiences are digital rather than face-to-face, I believe that relationships with our animals are even more important to our lives. These relationships must be built on mutual respect and choice to be the most successful and long-lasting.
After more than 25 years in public relations, a decade in public education, and training in both human and animal bodywork, I am now following a passion for helping pets and their people by making a difference in their lives together.
My goal is to work with both you and your pet to learn how to live - and thrive - in our human environment. Your relationship is about more than simple obedience. It includes confidence and optimum health, in addition to human and environmental components. Above all, it recognizes each animal's choice in the building of a mutually respectful and lifelong relationship.
